I also love early access to demos and the like, but doing this with a PSP game was the wrong way to go, pure and simple. It screws over people who own the service but only own a PS3. I could write pages and pages on how good this game is and I have done on many occasions. This time though I'll keep it simple with 10 points:
1. GREAT GAME PLAY = HOURS OF FUN
2. Lots of weapons (flamethrowers, rocket launchers, pistol, grenades, knife, sniper, mines, etc)
3. Lots of vehicles (APC, Dropship, Warhawk, Jeep, Tank, Turrets)
4. Lots of layouts (Massive maps for slower strategic matches or small maps for intense warfare - and lots of variations on each map)
5. The game has been out since 2007 and even now (2010) the online servers are always full of people playing
7. Up to 4-player split screen per PS3 and also allows offline local LAN play. Up to 32 players per game!
8. Everyone has access to all weapons and all vehicles so it's fair (although experienced players will obviously be much better) - unlike other games where you choose a role and only get certain guns/equipment
9. Community based: Build clans/teams, buddies, online stats/trophies/awards/medals/ribbons
10. Supports bluetooth / usb headsets - also supports motion controlled movements (if turned on)
In my opinion the best multiplayer shoot-em-up I've ever played on a console yet (and yes I've played Call of Duty)

This is a very fun game if you enjoy playing shooters online but if you don't then it will be filled with a lot of dying without killing anyone. It's taken me a long time to get into this game myself and so everyone should think twice about how good they really are at this type of game before deciding it's for them. Once you've got the hang of it though it is very satisfying to kill some of the people that camp out somewhere that it's hard to see them.

Fantastic multiplayer action - the best multiplayer game I've ever played, period.
The graphics are beautiful, but you won't be spending your time admiring them; there's too much action.
The gameplay is well-balanced, with a range of weapons, vehicles, fixed turrents, and of course the Warhawk itself.
The ranking systems mean that you can select games which will pit you against players of similar experience - avoiding the frustration of being a newbie surrounded by people who've spent far too much time playing, and kill you before you get to enjoy yourself at all.
If you like multiplayer gaming, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Im gunna keep it short and everyone else has done a great job covering all the "bases" (hahahahah sorry) on why this is a MUST OWN
This game is just simply ADDICTIVE.
Everything is banlanced really well, kinda like rock paper scissors if you will.
Everything has a strength, but an equal weakness. This is echoed all the way thru the game. From what gun you use, track you take,vehicle you get in.
Very well thought out, simple and to the point game.....just like this review.

Finally a game that the basics can be learned in 15 mins but takes forever to master..
This game is hard. very hard. however its rewarding.. plenty of in game awards bonus for killing dying... to keep you going. However I can see this game not being a popular with the under skilled or people who lack discipline to learn and keep playing.
The current (as of this review) version of Warhawk is v1.5 and contains a training section.. gives you a good overview of the game. Once you completed this section.. your on your own however... Once you enter multiplayer you will be entering a war zone of death and destruction at every turn.
Now the game get challenging.. now you find out if your equipped to play Warhawk...
Plenty of fun weapons.. vehicles and any tactic you can think off..
My personal favorite feature is the split-screen where you can play with up to four of your buddies on the same PS3. Great way to do run a unit.. and boy to your opponents get a shock with your support of each other..
